Britain’s ‘Slave Trade’

It’s not often that a news item leaves you staring at the screen (PC in my case), dumbfounded! But a story on today’s (14th May 2009) BBC website, has done exactly that to me!

Not only is it shocking, it’s quiet unbelievable…….this is 2009..right!
How can this be happening under own own noses, why is our Government only at the committee stage, is this just another example of their inability to actually ‘Do Something!‘
We are talking about women and children here!….emphasis on the ‘Children’. I am not about to embark on a pointless diatribe of the rights and wrongs of immigration, and the threat to our borders, what I am going to say is…..I am a parent, a Father and a fellow human being…this must be Stopped…Right now!
No excuses and wasted tirades about the rights of the individual…..there just kids….Look after them!
Some have arrived on the backs of lorries after months of harrowing, and sometimes, life threatening journeys, alone, and without a single possession. Scared witless!…..no knowledge of our language and customs, possibly kidnapped from their own families, to feed a need, in a sick society.
Place them in a secure environment, give them love and nurture.
Is it no wonder that half of the World thinks of us as greedy capitalists!
Come on ‘Great Britain’….get your bloody act together!
